This awesome Texas heat has caused low lake levels. Water access from our property is limited. We have two heavy kayaks at the house that can be walked out to the water, feel free to bring floats (or stop at Walmart, 5 minutes from the house). We are about 3 houses in on the canal from the open lake. Boats and jet ski's can not launch from our property at this time. You can access the lake through several boat launches and swimming areas within 5-10  minutes. Check here for options.

Our home has beautiful sunset views of Cedar Creek Reservoir. Enjoy peaceful nature sounds and visits from the neighborhood ducks in our quiet retreat.
This waterfront home has been remodeled and updated with granite countertops and stainless-steel appliances. There are two bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs with the open living, kitchen and dining room. Downstairs you will find another living area with a game room, full bathroom and bunk room. The two levels have their own separate entrances making the space ideal for multiple families or families with older kids. There is no indoor staircase, so this home is not ideal for small children. 
The upper deck provides a gas grill and room to sit and enjoy the view. Lower porch has hammock chairs and space to relax. Our firepit is ready for your s'mores while our cornhole boards are ready for your best game. We have 2 kayaks for your use. We do not provide life jackets but highly encourage them. Feel free to bring poles to fish in the backyard or floats to lounge on!
Big Chief park is half a mile from the house and offers a boat ramp with a parking lot for guests with larger watercrafts. 
We have several lakeside restaurants within 5 miles. Cedar Creek Brewery is right across the bridge. You’re sure to find plenty of entertainment within close proximity.
Within one hour of Happy Harbor is approximately 15 wineries. Antique shopping in Canton is only 30 minutes away. Our website provides recommendations for boat/jet ski rentals, fishing guides, sunset cruises, golf, and much more.

The property is gorgeous right on the water. Interior was so cozy and clean, beds were like sleeping on clouds. Decks were nice to sit out and enjoy the ducks. We came for Canton first Monday we were close to that. Great places to eat. Really enjoyed!

We had a great stay! The house was very clean and the perfect size for our family. It had a nice view of the lake. We enjoyed watching the beautiful sunset. The house appeared to be freshly remodeled. We brought our kayak which was super easy to launch from the property. There was a nice grill outside. We were not familiar with the area ahead of time, but there were grocery stores and restaurants within an easy drive. This is a great waterfront home to escape the big city.

Our family of 6 (ages 17 to 60) loved this property! We wanted a step above a stay-cation but couldn't go far from Dallas, and this house was perfect. We mostly cooked at home- EPIC BBQ grill, and full size fridge, oven and dishwasher made this easy to do. We loved the geese and ducks and neighbor cat who visited us daily. We played cornhole and floated around in the water. It was relaxing and easy. We were six grown people and there was plenty of room for us.  All the mattresses were comfortable. We will be booking again.
